The country in video is mentioned but just in case it is Ghana.
The video clip comes from Channel 4's documentary "The Great African Scandal".
I do not believe that the WTO, World Bank and those involved are that incompetent to not realise what their policies are doing to the underdeveloped countries.
The following is the text at the end:
These policies make perfect sense if they want to control the food supply and thus control the nation.
The IMF and WTO enforce regulations that stop poor countries from subsidising farmers while the EU and USA continue to subsidise theirs.
In a fair market the unsubsidised farmers would have no issue in selling their food within their own countries and abroad as they have cheap labour. However, the fact the USA and EU subsidised heavily stop that from occurring.
On top of that it floods the market with cheap subsidised food selling it sometime at a loss to undercut local produce. This has the ramification of destroying the local unprofitable industry and agriculture; the once arable farmlands, due to lack of maintenance, slowly turn into deserts.
Overtime the local farmers lose out and the nation becomes dependent on foreign food as it is no longer self-sufficient. A noose slowly falls around the neck of the nation and the other end is held by the powers that be.
In a declassified 1974 document titled "National Security Study Memorandum
200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests", Henry Kissinger outlined several methods of dealing perceived threat to national security (read as US access to other countries resources), one of which was to curtailing food supplies to control population growth and force government to comply with US demands such as birth control.
In respect, the memorandum only covered 13 countries but the advice can be applied
to any country that is within the interest of US.
The behaviour of the USA, EU, WTO and World Bank leaves one questioning the real motives behind such actions.
In my view they are intentionally trying to destroy the agriculture of these countries. Should they decide to stop supplying food their will be mass starvation and depopulation on a scale never seen before.
Interesting Facts:
The IMF director is always European while the World Bank director is always American.

the EU has to subsidise farmers, if they did'nt we would not have any farms..they are just not profitable enough to survive on their own, and you cant expect EU to not have its own internal source of food, that would be an outrageous threat to national security. But the dumping of unwanted food stores is very bad, although im not sure to what extent that persisits today

The Jews & thier unthinking Christian zombie army are just as bad as each other.. Personally I believe in God (& see the World based on science & truth), these people have little to do with pious, honest living - the same for the Muslims in thier own base manner. The Jew is the Worlds no.1 trouble maker though - such influence only comes from the drooling, nodding Christians in his thrall. Any problem with Islam is caused by the Jew. A vicious circle that Europe and the World needs to break.

Jews?
Try a mixture of people after greed. Not going to argue that a lot seem to support zionism but most zionists are Christians.

Regardless of the method governments employ to influence us, we must never take our eyes off them. Like any interaction with a magician, we should always assume we are somehow being fooled and our curiosity should be place on high alert.
Corruption has always been an upside down funnel directing unearned value to the (mostly) upper echelon of society. All we can do is identify how the tricks work and tell everybody we know so they don't get fooled again.
Thanks SoliloquyMonologues.
