In English now. I love very much this video, it’s his better rendition of Georgia, the most simple and moving . Thank you very much for posting ! Does somebody can translate for me me what he says at 0 : 53 ?

  • @Marieblan

At 0:53, he says: "I'm from Augusta, Georgia."

  • Why did you end this early?

  • @PaulDA2000

This is Mofunk's video I re-posted here! Hey, ask HIM why HE ended it early!

  • Mitici James..

  • @ Ike

in the "original version" of 4:19 I hear distinctly at 0:55, just after his famous onomatopoeia ( that Michael Jackson has imitated for fun ) James saying "may be, it's because I'm from Augusta, Georgia" . But in the short video there are fewer words , I hear 6 syllables at 0:53, perhaps something like" I'm from Augusta town". Do these words are possible ?

Do you know when this Mike Douglas Show was filmed ? The vocal style seems slightly different, nearer of gospel perhaps.

  • The irreplaceable Mr James Brown, they don't make 'em like they used to....

  • @IkeDyson71 Excuses, excuses...tsk tsk.......

Nah, this arrangement is much better. I actually had a better performance with this original arrangemnt, from the second Playboy After Dark Show he did, in 1970. But since I moved house just can't seem to find that dvd.
