Why do people make inane observations about youtube comments?
-
Cringe, the cameraman used pontificate as a complement, Wallace handled it well, then upon reflection seemed to consider he might be actually coming off pompous. Poor guy.

@simonyricools it is haha:P The the thing about this video I like the most is that people who read his book are seemingly susceptible to low IQ trolling attempts like on the first vid someone said: ''lol nerd killed himself'' and farmed many angry responses rofl. Those reactions almost make me me want to re-evaluate what I'm reading if some of its detractors are so.... shall we say: 'pedestrian', it's a snob thing:P

Why do people cheer when there are no dislikes? Like consensus is gonna tell us what is good? I like the guy too, but i wouldn't be sad if someone didn't and went to the extreme step of clicking on that dangerous icon. Just so funny to me:)

Not entirely sure -apart from total ineptitude- why the camera man butted in the way he did; sure the curtain is gone; but if DFW was "pontificating" and moving -he is moving more out of focus....

That douche bag off camera needs to shut the fuck up!

Why does he speak about Americans in a detached manner?
Is he not American? Or is that for the woman?
One of the fundamental fallacies of our society is the tendency to discount the insight of those suffering from depression. Depression isn't as simple as a chemical imbalance. The umbrella term "depression" doesn't begin to cover the layers and nuances that comprise that kind of suffering. Not even compassion is enough to soothe the tormented soul; it takes true understanding and reciprocity. For someone as intellectually alive as DFW - how impossible that must have been, I can't imagine.
