  • Very cool to hear this; I remember seeing the show when I was a kid. I just started reading Rin Tin Tin: The Life and the Legend by Susan Orlean. So far it's an engaging and easy read.

  • @vlamousse1 Won ton ton is a parody of Rin Tin Tin, who, by the way, dates back to 1927. I think RinTi was considered for best actor award in the first Academy Awards because at the time, the "Oscars" were just starting and not considered anything great.

  • @stuka52 what about huskies on sargent preston of the yukon that takes place in the 1800s a huskie is a part wolf malamute

  • @mangledinal Some body was making personal appearances at autograph conventions posing as Lee aaker stealing his identity then finally he did one James L. brown lt. ripp masters made a 45 he had a problem with name recognition with the black actor james brown and the black singer james brown he wanted to change his name to that of a character of a movie he was in but the producer wouldnt let him

  • I loved this show as a child! We owned German Shepards and the show was a western. It wasn't till years later I found out that German Shepard's did not become a breed till the late 1890s and of course the show took place in the 1870s.

  • thank you very much for your information,im glad hes still alive and well as i realy enjoyed the show as a kid.

  • @rockger2006 After the show's demise, Aaker did not survive the transition into adult roles. He instead moved into the production end of the business, serving as an assistant to producer Herbert B. Leonard on the "Route 66" (1960) series, then later dropped out altogether to become a carpenter. He was born in 1943 in CA, so he's still a young man (68 y.o.) bu some standards. I watched the show Rin Tin Tin for several years when I was a child. Loved it.

  • @futykoolz I had the honor of meeting Lee Aaker.
