April 25-28th, 2011. The worst week of weather in United States history since the Tri-State tornado outbreak in March of 1925. In the Deep South, nearly 200 reported tornadoes destroyed thousands of homes, killing hundreds. While hell was breaking loose in the south, on the tails of these terrible killer storms was some of the worst flooding to hit the Ozarks region since 2008.
In Branson, MO, Table Rock Lake was in the danger zone for flooding in the lake, so for a second time since May 2008, all ten floodgates were opened, letting loose tens of thousands cubic feet of water every second. Lake Taneycomo overflowed its banks quickly, wreaking havoc on the flood plains, and the homes along the lake. Only recently have the waters began to recede.
On a lighter note, this is the first time I used a redesigned logo along with Corel Video Editor for a secondary video editing program. Hopefully, I'll be able to depend on that one purely and get off Windows Live Movie Maker, which has been a bitch to mess with. For once, a Vista program did it better.
