Still in development, D3 Publisher's Dark Sector is slashing its way into the market with unique game play and story.

In Dark sector, you play Hayden Tenno, a CIA operative, who while on a mission is infected with a virus that slowly infects his body and gives him deadly powers. Throughout the game your powers evolve and get stronger as well as gaining new abilities. The player witnesses this transformation and the change on the character's body and psyche as they delve deeper into the game.

One of Hayden's new abilities is the use of the glaive, a weapon unique to this game, which is a three-bladed weapon that grows from his arm and can be thrown to dismember or slash enemies like a knife.

Intended to truly immerse the player there is no HUD, Head-Up Display, and the game maintains a 3rd person over the shoulder perspective.

The multiplayer mode has a special feature which allows players to use the techniques and abilities that they have acquired in single player mode when battling others.

Designed for the PS3 and Xbox 360, the shipping date has just be announced for January 22, 2008.

the online multyplayer is the biggest let down ever , im still getting the game for the story mode but the multyplayer only 2 types of game modes and both are shit
