I have been thinking that its my drum library, its just not organized enough. then i think of reason. its just too much to addition a sound and work it into my sequence. cause i use reason as a trigger but write in the midi editor in protools is that just not a good way? i do it this way so i can have more control over what my patterns do and how they change throughout the song such as fills and beats but its just no fun lol could this be my problem?

I'm used to "audition, Drag and drop, Sequence, and arrange." witch takes moments to find that "sound" write my part and see if it works with my drum beat.

I know this is a very noob question. I've been used to having a drummer. I always wrote in other softwares to do my drum tracks. Now I have upgraded to a Protools 8 HD3 system and want to do everything within my Mac I have reason 4 rewire that helps to write my drums but its rather a slow processed and its too complicated of a process to Cycle through Sounds and Rhythms. (I know there is an easier way) I usually use one shot drum samples and write my drum beats from scratch but Its just too slow

Hey Media Trapper, Its MusicManEfrain From YouTube I have a Question Maybe Even something you can do a video about or whatever works for you.
How do you write your Drums in Protools? I am having the hardest time getting my Drums To Sound The Way I would like them to weather it would be Natural live Drums Hip hop type of drums or Very Articulate dance drums or whatever.
Natural drum programming just takes time, determination, and an understanding of the drum kit and how it is played. If I were you I would just buy/download a huge library of midi sequences and test them out. Once you find one that feels appropriate you can edit it to your tastes. Never forget that drums need to have dynamics in order to sound natural and they need to have multiple samples. So let me ask you - are you using ReDrum or the extra Reason Drums pack? PM me please.

@SiNishad I used EZDrummer with the basic drumkit. I also used the MiniGrand & Xpand2 plugins that come with PT LE 8.0.

@gnappolino2010 I guess I'd have to ask a few questions first regarding the capabilities of your keyboard's sequencer. Does it give you advanced MIDI editing in terms of swing and quantization? Also, is it a sampled kit or a General MIDI kit? There are many things that could cause your drums to sound "small" or out of sync. Answer these questions and we will devise a solution.
