Guitar tabs for this song can be downloaded from my 4shared account:

Studio version: http://www.4shared.com/dir/5821433/d52719e9/Minutes_to_Midnight.html
Live version: http://www.4shared.com/dir/10077233/d28b22b1/Minutes_to_Midnight__Live_.html

Still in DADGBE tuning here. Brad's part in this song is a little weird, lots of intervals he normally doesn't use. I played this more like the live version, where instead of alternate picking most of the notes in the main riff, he just strums them as chords. The studio version is very imprecise phrasing-wise, so it'd be very hard to tab it exactly how he plays it, and even harder to memorize it note-for-note. If you look at the tabs, I've tabbed them this way anyway, so what I play here will match up just fine if you're going by the tabs instead of the recording.

  • I think there's a little error in your tab for this song... in the line right before the first and second chorus :)

  • @dinkar95 Oh wow, that was a copy-paste fail on my part there, sorry about that. It's fixed now.

  • why does the guitar sound different than on the album? I notice you are playing it correctly since this is exactly how it sounds live, but why is that? it seems like he is playing it completely different live than on the album. is their an effect on the guitar that they cant reproduce live or something?

  • @HybridIllusion The album version has a fairly random emphasis on the notes, the intervals are the same, but on the first chord of the song, the 9th fret note on E is louder than the 7th fret note on B, then for the next 2 chords, the 7th fret on B is louder, etc...it goes like that throughout the whole song. The album version has a different overall guitar tone as well, it's not as distorted as it is on the live version, and it has a short delay on it too.
