I don't know much about dehydrating food but I want to learn. I made this simple dehydrator cabinet to connect to a solar air heater. It has much more airflow than those other dehydrators so I'm expecting faster drying times. I'll do some dehydrator testing videos soon.

  • Ah! You read my mind! Jerky is going to be one of my first tests.

  • Awesome! I would love to see how that does versus a conventional dehydrator. It looks like it would do the job pretty quickly, What kind of temperatures are you getting out of it?

  • @lenty2000 It was about 4pm and sun was almost gone for the day by the time I made the video. I'll be doing some test videos soon and get the stats out there to you.

  • @STARFIRESOLAR I cant wait to see that, i love the filter idea too.

  • @lenty2000 It will be interesting. I think that with the increased air flow I can dry stuff faster. Most dehydrators I've seen don't have near the air flow rate that this does. Yes, the filter was a must have since the intake is near the ground. I don't want any bugs getting sucked in.

  • Nice work.

  • @MrHorsetail Thanks and congrats on your winning that PV panel about a month ago. I'm going to enter to try and win one myself.
