This is a video for the brobryce2009 youtube contest.
in short; this is me destroying my addiction ( 800 dollar computer ) so that i can move foward and acheive my goals for 2011. Addictions come in many many forms... perhaps yours are different than mine, but you can be sure of one thing from them...
people spend months, years and even decades trying to get rid of things that block their progress and distract them from their dreams.
And ive found the best way to get rid of things that stop you, is to destroy them =)
Great point. Well taken. Thanks.

@MsHojat you may be right... i did this for my own personal reasons... and addiction can come in many forms.. mine was to the degree where i couldnt just give it to someone that may not have the problem, but i had to prove to myself i wanted to rid myself of it... you may dissagree which is fine. But i dont think God wants people to be addicted to things in our life.... which may take drastic measure to attain freedom.. God bless.

@Gods0n1 1. What does profit have to do with this? I said give away, not sell.
2. It's not giving the addiction to someone else if that someone else does not have a sensitivity to being addicted to computers. For instance, most computer addiction is INTERNET addiction, and said person could not have any internet access.
Cigarettes are not a comparable example because they are always unhealthy no matter what. However if I was addicted to alcohol, I would certainly give it to someone.

@MsHojat and i dont think giving your addiction to someone else for profit is actually proving to yourself that you want to change because it has to be an impacting change otherwise a week will go by and you will find yourself back in your addiction again... now you may say that many ppl can control what they drink or watch and use moderation, however i would argue the majority of ppl cant!

@MsHojat well lets take something in your life that is an addiction... lets say drinking, or smoking is an addiction you have... now, while it is an addiction to you, it isnt for other people.. thats fine.. but because you want to stop drinking and because you understand it isnt good for you health, you take the beer and throw it away, because by doing this you are Proving to YOURSELF that you want to change...( continued)

@Gods0n1 Not only did you make huge generalizations and assumptions (or jump-to-conclusions), but you don't even actually answer why you didn't give it away — saying people are physically inactive is one thing, but saying that the way to stop it is by not giving them certain stuff is an entirely different idea. It's ridiculous to say that EVERYONE is anti-social and doesn't go outside and enjoy life.
Your statement is just baffling.

@Gods0n1 One man's trash is not ALWAYS another man's treasure, no. However, the whole point of the phrase is that unwanted things by some people oftentimes ARE desirable to others.
Secondly, you're making very large generalizations and assumptions — many people BALANCE their social and/or physical activity with sedentary activities. Reading books, watching/listening to radio/TV/movies, painting/sculpting, are all sedentary and/or solo activities, does it mean they're all bad?

@MsHojat one mans trash is not another mans treasure.. after taking a different path for 2011, i can see alot of the problems with this country is because we are anti social and look for electronics for more fun then actually going outside and enjoying LIFE.

@Gods0n1 Then you should have taken it apart and given away the pieces to different people for free. That, or even just give the whole thing to someone else for free.
