  • if this is fast, then what is the meaning of slow. very funny

  • @nido48 its entering a railway station so obviously it will be slow as its slowing down

  • This train is capable of running at 100mph but its been run at 95mph for safety reasons. So it means you have no knowledge of its actual speed and commenting just like that

  • Although it does run at about 95mph its average speed is more like 55mph.

Now the tgv of france can reach 186mph which is really impressive

  • yeah its around 55-60mph average speed but its because it is being run on the existing railway track system along with the other trains.

Well. Indian Railways is going to announce the project of running bullet trains imported from Japan tommorow. This project is expected to complete by 2012

  • Too close for comfort man! you were lucky that it was coming slowly

  • if it would have been in high speed then i would have kept much more distance. :)

  • carsick1001,

In India, people and animals in their millions can come in very close proximity to the track.

India also has an absurd number of trains running on the rails there. Too much speed gives less time for other trains to get out of the way.

You cant run TGV type speed in India. Many of the trains in India haul many coaches also. some of the 24 passenger coaches.

India is a different world for railways. Busiest network of any nation

  • @hiutsav The average speed of BHOPAL SHATABDI is around 58mph.which is very good if u luk on the current conditions of the tracks.

  • @sonofthedestroyer Who the FUCK are you to say - You cant run TGV type speed in India? White House employee? RB has accepted the final proposal for the ADI Mumbai Pune high speed corridor, with both France and Japan licking India's butt for the project. Grow up fool. Don't spread lunatic rumors. Go climb the coconut tree and drink toddy !!!

  • @sonofthedestroyer Very well summarized. Yes, to run the TGV type trains, one needs a dedicated corridor and absolutely straight track for tens of miles at a time. This is not possible on the present network. With the present pressures of traffic and the vested interest of politicians, I'd say that they are putting up a pretty good show. I was told that on any day over eleven million people are riding the trains in the country.

  • Was on the Delhi/Kalka the other day and, by my GPS, went above 100 kph. And a pretty comfortable train, too.

  • man i dont think bullet train going to come to india its 2009 end now i wish we had a bullet trains :( i try to google for project all i find is old news nothing new about it... and there is no such plan anymore so i guess this is the one first train we have but if u have any new info share with me ... thx for the post anyways

  • Well. It is way faster than any train in the US.

  • 90 or a 100mph isnt fast go on a real train
