This sample video was captured with EasyCap DC60+ v3.1B and Ulead VideoStudio 10.
Then I opened it to VirtualDub and removed black borders and resized it to HD size 1280 x 720px. Then I opened it to Windows Live Movie Maker and saved it to WMV HD 1280x720px. Here is a tutorial for VirtualDub:
1. Capture video with the best resolution
2. Open that video to VirtualDub Editor
3. Play video 2-3frames and stop it
4. Click on Video/Filters/Add/null transform/OK/Cropping
5. Drag the every outer side of black borders with mouse toward the video screen so much that black parts are gone
6. Click on OK
7. Click on Filters/Add/Resize/OK/Size Options/New size Absolute/Aspect Ratio Disabled
8. Write New size Absolute 1280 x 720
9. Click on OK
10. Click on OK
11. Click on File/Save as AVI
I made this sample with this system-
OS: 64bit Windows 7
Capture Card: EasyCap DC60+ v3.1B
Capturing software: Ulead VideoStudio 10
Editing software: 64bit VirtualDub 1.9.9
Computer: AMD 4850e 2.5GHz, 4GB RAM, Ati Radeon HD 4350 512MB

D. Troubleshoots
The most common reasons that You can not
get out video and/or audio are:
1. You have used scart/rca-adapter that
does not have output possibilities
(it is only input version).
2. You have tried to get video and audio
out that kind of ports from video device
that have only input direction.
3. In Windows: Files are corrupted during
installation (try again) or install CD is broken.
4. That extra Usb-cable is broken - don't use it.
5. You have wrong or not at all video- and
audio codecs in Your computer (very common
reason in Windows) - Use FFDSHOW-codecs
6. There is something wrong in windows computer
that makes conflict with EasyCap and the most
common reason is some other Usb-device in Your
computer - for example Usb-webcam. Take that
extra device away from Your computer and try again.
7. You do not have Usb 2.0 version ports in Your
computer and so ports are too slow.
8. You have Ulead Video Studio 8.0 that is not
compatible with Windows Vista or Win7 with EasyCap.
9. You have EasyCap DC60 that is not compatible
with 64bit Windows or Mac.
10. You try to use Your computers own audio card
driver and then You can not hear any sound - You
must use Usb audio drivers.

@glader93ed For better quality:
1. Install FFDShow codecs into Your Windows
2. Use gold plated cables and adapters - s-video is better than composite
3. Check that all contacts between devices, cables and adapters are tight enough
4. Do not use any extension USB cable
5. Switch off all other programs during capturing
6. Capture with max resolution 576p PAL, 480p NTSC
7. Check that CPU Usage is under 50% and if it goes over, so buy more RAM and/or better processor and/or better graphics card

@EasycapExpertti Ok well let me identify whats wrong for you :)
1.. will download.
2.. yes, and composite.. buying s vid soon.
3. tight
4.. i used a short extention cable.
5.. i had internet explorer up and other various programs.
6.. i thought PAL is for UK
7. Brand new windows 7 cpu.
You are truly an expert. i understand that even the smallest things could render my quality and as do you. Cool, i dont have my xbox but ill record a tv show. Will an hd widescreen differ?
glader93ed 1 month ago
@glader93ed
4. Test also without any extension cable
5. Shut down all other programs during capturing
6. You must use max PAL resolution 720x576px
7. I advice You to check out CPU usage anyway - also very powerful computer can suffer lack of power and that can due to for example: viruses, corrupted files, uncompatible drivers, missing or uncompatible codecs etc.
You can record HD widescreen if TV can convert it to SD mode.

ummm. please help bro. Why on earth is my .VSP file invisible? i cant open it up to edit it in virtualdub. ive put it in a folder, tried everything. I cant open it. or drag from ulead-desktop-virtualdub... this is frustrating.
glader93ed 1 month ago
@glader93ed .VSP is only the project file of Ulead VideoStudio and You can use it only with that software. Ulead VS makes always 2 files: .VSP and another file with that format which You have selected in Ulead Editor. You must use Avi-format which is a default format in VirtualDub. Look at the Ulead Editor main page - after You have enabled Avi there and also an address to where it save recordings so after capturing video You will find that Avi-file from that address.
