Howdy y'all! Here the 10th episode of "The Chuckwagon Cowboy" cooking show. In this episode, I'm getting "corny" with my recipe and heatin' up the kitchen! I hope you enjoy and will try my "YEEHAW" delicious "Ron's Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies". (Ingredients are below)

With a running time of just around 11 minutes, this episode introduces the viewers to more insights about me and my cooking style, some "down home" banter and some good ole Southern/MIdwestern K.I.S.S. (Keepin' It Short & Simple) style comfort food.

So here's the ingredients:

• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 2 tsp chocolate cream liqueur
• 3 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1-1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
• 10-12 strips of bacon (about 1 to 1-1/2 cups) -- cooked, cooled and diced (or use fresh packaged bacon pieces)
• Sea salt to sprinkle on top of cookies before baking

You'll need to watch the video for directions!

  • Bacon & chocolate? That is an odd combination, and I fail to see how this could in any possible way.

I don't understand how this is liked by so many, is it an typical American dish? It looks strange to me.

  • @RayTunesOfficial Well, how shall I put this...a person eithter likes it or you don't. - no gray area there.

Now, you obviously havent tried this before, so I make a challange to you. Instead of knocking the recipe down before you can make an honest judgement about it, why not make a batch and THEN come back and let me know your thoughts. Fair enogh? I do appreciate you taking the time to view and comment!

  • Ron, nice job with the cookies. I especially liked the correction to the flour amount! We all have those sorts of mishaps in the kitchen. Good work, but then with bacon and chocolate, how could we go wrong. Thanks for sharing this with us. YPG

  • @YourProduceGuy Bacon and Chocolate are one of those combinations that just always work well together! Thanks as always, for the kind comments and view, and mostly for your support!
