The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is a mid-engined grand touring car. The Super Sport version is the fastest road-legal car in the world, with a top speed of 431.07 km/h (267.85 mph).[4] The original version has a top speed of 408.00 km/h (253.52 mph).[5] It was named Car of the Decade (2000--2009) by the BBC television programme Top Gear.
Designed and developed by the German Volkswagen Group and produced by Bugatti Automobiles SAS at their headquarters in Château Saint Jean in Molsheim (Alsace, France), the Veyron's chief designer was Hartmut Warkuss, and the exterior was designed by Jozef Kabaň of Volkswagen, with much of the engineering work being conducted under the guidance of former Peterbilt engineer and now Bugatti Engineering chief Wolfgang Schreiber.

and the veyron got it name from the french pilot Pierre veyron ... it's a French car build by german motor just like lamborghini or rolls royce (belong to audi and bmw)

@EpicMarty101 No it is French, made by an Italian who imigrated in Alsace in 1909. at that time, Alsace was dominated by german coz of the 1870 war but soon became french again in 1918. So it is a France based company (and still is, the veyron is built in France) made by an Italian immigrant but after 1951 was bought by different companies until VAG in 1998.

@Arknei520 the fastest car in the world is the bugatti veyron ss not the 16.4. the car that is a little bit slower than the ss is the koeningsegg ccxr edition it has just 1130 hp, and goes from 0 -> 100 in 2.5 sec an has a top of 430 KMH. so its still faster than a 16.4
