  • Yep Music every time, ScalaRider G4 with a 3.5 jack to the MP3 player. Never wear earplugs, the Shoei XR1100 is super quiet, even at 80 Mph :)

  • @gogosor I use my smartphone loaded with music and bluetooth music to the G4 as you dont get control over tracks etc thru the 3.5 jack, I found it sounds a lot better this way too.

  • OH and P.S. again don't be like me singing on your bike we are both bloody rubbish

  • @ericbusa you cant be as bad as me, its not possible ;)

  • Hi James, always, for almost 5 yrs now on my bmw gs i have my music playing, i have an auto com fitted hard wired to the bike which gos to my zumo550 satnav. all my music is from the zumo 250-300 tracks in random sequence and selected from the touch screen and all with no batteries and the music fads in and out when the satnav is working, never missed a beat in all this time, in rain snow and sun, oh and it has being fitted to two bikes before that. eric.

  • @ericbusa I hear nothing but good things about autocom, never tried one tho.

  • I tried couple of times but I don’t like it. I love to listen to the music of my engine...I find it more relaxing.

  • @kd4ysi i've tried a fair few headsets over the years and the G4 is easily the best and most durable. thanks for the sub.

  • @umpalumpa101909

And had the headphones running up through my jacket, i don't have it overpoweringly loud, I can still hear my bike, I can still hear if someone blasts on their horn, But it's just much easier for me to do long rides with them in, However, if i was riding in a busy town, I'd probably not use them, because i'm not experienced enough as of yet, If you're going to wear ear plugs, You're already limiting what you can hear around you, The addition of music just makes it more enjoyable

  • I'm a new rider, and i did quite a long ride on a CG125 once, it was only 45 minutes, But for me at the time that was a long ride, after not being a rider for long.

ANd i thought about the trip, and how it was relatively boring, So i had had an idea

What i did, i had a Phone mount that would attach to a car's window, so i took off the part which the phone sits into, Put Velcro on the bottom of it, and Velcro on the empty part of my Speedo housing, And plonked it there, Plugged headphones in

  • very good topic i do listen to music sometimes or audio books im going to get me the g4 headset

eventuly its the best in my opion subed mate

  • I don't want to listen to anything apart from the sounds of riding my bike. I do wear earplugs, they just reduce the noise level slightly, don't cut it out, quite happy with them.

Sometimes watch video clips with soundtracks that really go well, but not for me when riding.
