  • @dimputhegreat Hyperventilation before the dive has limited efficiency. The key is to have huge oxygenation of the body or CP (control pause) 24/7 by having only 3 breaths/min at rest for basal or unconscious breathing (during sleep too).

    She is at the very top of the Buteyko Table of Health zones (there are 12 zones in total, depending on one’s stress-free breath holding time test). Most modern people are 9-10 zones below her.

  • she is trying to pack as much air as possible.freedivers practice this,and some yoga.for this you have to do hypoxy training in a pool under professional guidance.

    ps:; a freedivers lungs can take more air compared to regular persons.

    and their heart beat is very low compared to average persons.
