@dimputhegreat Hyperventilation before the dive has limited efficiency. The key is to have huge oxygenation of the body or CP (control pause) 24/7 by having only 3 breaths/min at rest for basal or unconscious breathing (during sleep too).
She is at the very top of the Buteyko Table of Health zones (there are 12 zones in total, depending on one’s stress-free breath holding time test). Most modern people are 9-10 zones below her.
