Scot Thompson visits with Machine Design Magazine about ID-Light.

ID-Light™ is a trademarked technology only offered by Solid Concepts; it stands for Industrial Design Light. This is a light weight SLA product that is created with a proprietary laser scanning pattern such that a thin outer shell (about 0.030 to 0.040") is used to encase a drainable inner scaffolding-like matrix. ID-Light™ parts are significantly lighter, and build faster, than solid SLA parts (from 1/5th to 1/12th depending on geometry).
