saw him live months ago in Michigan. He was quite amazing. Lots of work to play the way he does. He blatantly screwed up songs on a few occassions.....allowed us to all acknowledge him as a human being and not a guitar playing machine. A class act though.

A tremendous composition. He plays it with a little less snap than he does on the recording that appears on the Mel Bay fingerstyle collection, but he also ad libs in an inventive way in this live performance. Great to see and hear.

Duck Baker is one of America's best kept secrets.
I first became aware of him in the mid eighties when he was recording for Kicking Mule and doing some awesome guitar tutorials. A fantastic guitarist and an great entertainer. He ranges from Chuck Berry to Turlough O Carolan and Irish jigs, reels and airs, of into Jazz and back to traditional American blues and fiddle tunes, well the whole gamut.
I can't stress how much these postings mean to me. A big thank you for posting them.
