  • @nupthatisit I didn't pick an argument - I pointed out the facts. You're the one who argued by doubling down, even though you had it mistaken. Please - don't make things up and enjoy the comedy.

  • @Wingtipshoes Fine, you stop trying to pick arguments.

  • @nupthatisit Calm down, mate. Enjoy the champagne comedy.

  • @Wingtipshoes Oh, for Christ's sake, who friggin cares! Put it in perspective, it's Youtube, what impact will a comment on a comedy clip make?

  • @nupthatisit I enjoy the comedy (particularly The Late Show) as much as you presumably do. I'd just rather you didn't make up your own facts.

  • @Wingtipshoes Can I ask, why are you trying to start an argument on what is clearly a comedy video? Commenting on a comment I made 3 months ago? What's it matter and what are you trying to prove?

  • @nupthatisit He didn't consider running for preselection, he actually ran for preselection as a Liberal. And being a republican and being a Liberal are two different things - Peter Costello is another who is both. Get over it - you can't say "he became a Liberal" after the 1990s, because he always was one.

Well, you can say it, but you'll be wrong.

  • @Wingtipshoes During the 90s he wasn't widely known for his politics, apart from his role with the Australian Republic Movement, which the Liberals at the time were very much monarchy-minded. He was at the time very closely associated with the federal ALP government, while Paul Keating was PM. Who remembers him for considering running for preselection 30 years ago?

  • @nupthatisit What's your point? He's nonetheless always been a Liberal. Hell, he ran for Liberal pre-selection in 1981. Btw, you'll tend to find that a large part of the corporate sector would be Liberals.
