PART 4 of 9: This is a video recording of an all-community meeting at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA on November 6, 2007. It was open to students, staff, and faculty in the community to come express views on the topic of installing surveillance cameras on campus when there presently are none. This video was recorded by a student and posted initially on his website, and has caused some amount of controversy with college officials: see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hampshire_College#Surveillance_Camera_Controversy
i don't know why we were debating what positive benefits could come out of putting the cameras up... and what kind of controls would be applicable to them. It was a yes or no question, cameras, no cameras. as a student body, i seriously doubt we will have any say in the 'details.' it was a deceptive meeting. i don't trust the administration. they're ... vertically integrated... if you know what i'm sayin.
