Like many of us devoted to this music I´ve been to New Orleans several times. And I really like to come back again.

Thank you! Yeah, it certainly contributed to the spreading of jazz. It's delightful that a town in Sweden has a celebration devoted to such a particular event in New Orleans. Come visit!

Hi!
In sweden we still believe that the closing of Storyville was the main reason why jazz was spread outside New Orleans. The musicians lost their jobs and had to leave the city looking for work elsewhere. Right or wrong? Anyhow - since the late 1950-ties this event has been celebrated every year in Bromma, Stockholm as the start of an important musical development.
