Go with 8 bit, 16 is just plain overkill inside of photoshop. Compare it to shooting a pig with a rifle or a bazooka. Sorry PETA!

Seriously, I am a serious amateur photographer and I have never used 16 bit and never will, if your shot is so bad that you would benefit from 16 bit, reshoot it.

Oh, no..., Lifesaver Deke did not mention which RGB to choose..., 8 bit or 16bit...It bothers me for quite a while!
