The Kit Kat Girls (Claire Ferensowicz, Emma Meade, Kate Jopson, Jasmin Pamukcu, Rachel Warner, and Maura Tang) perform "Mein Herr," lead by Sally Bowles (Jessica Goldman) from the production of CABARET at the University of California- Berkeley.

UC Berkeley is the #1 public institution in the country and while the city of Berkeley and the San Francisco Bay Area are major arts epicenters, the school itself does not offer a musical theatre program, department, or even a class.

Student Zi Alikhan directed this production for Cal's Barestage Productions, a student operated organization on campus. All of the actors are undergraduates, but many have professional theatre credits.

Enjoy, and be kind! (more)

  • Beautival women

  • You're wonderful Jessica - your voice, your body - you're the best Sally ever! :)

  • Wow. The choreography was good in whole, the girl who played Sally... is wondrous. She's perfect for the role, the whole atmosphere of the place shows the sleazyness of the whole era, of the Kit Kat club... the costumes were really intense and the dancers were really good. In all, a very well done version of this ever famous musical.

  • ......I liked it......

  • The choreography was a little off, but I'm aware of how very difficult it is, and the girls are very talented, just not in unison.

Ms. Goldman looks a little too wholesome to be Sally Bowles (I think it's the vest), but she has a very solid singing voice.

  • It lacked intensity and a real sense of focus. I think Sally can be less "cute"

  • It lacked in choreography, and was sloppy.

  • Sally- GREAT FINAL NOTE. Impressive! The videography is sort of sloppy and sadly, so is some of the choreography! Some of your girls are marking!! Overall, good job but could use more energy and unity.
