One day at the Berlaymont

This documentary aims to give an insight into everyday life at the European Commission's flagship headquarters, the Berlaymont. The documentary begins by showing the cultural diversity of officials arriving early morning. It continues with a view of the innovative interior architecture and introduces various aspects of daily life: meeting of the College, daily meeting of the Spokespersons group and interaction with Commission Representations, daily press briefings, high-level conferences, and visits by influential world personalities. We take a glimpse at the Commissioners' private dining rooms, the TV studios, the impressive audiovisual archives, interpreters at work, the canteen and cafeteria, together with everyday office life, all backed up with interesting facts and figures
