The Infamous "HEMI" Tick

All the new HEMI - 5.7 Engines have this "tick". At least in the Rams.

They still haven't pinned it down for sure but a couple buddies of mine had theirs in for it and the dealer replaced both heads and said it was exhaust valves.

ya know this really sucks. The Challenger is such a good looking car. In my wildest dreams, i cant imagine why DODGE would not do something...anything to fix this ticking noice. I just searched GOOGLE, and...oh my. its all over the Dodge forums too. man, it just goes to show,, that they have been aware of the issue, and they still pump out 5.7's year after year, with no mods. I had to laugh, watching Mega Factories: Challenger. the chief guy in mexico, said they are made to such 'high standards'

Got tired of the ticking and poor city mpg......give me an old 340,383,440. Plenty of power and NO valvetrain noise.

There are annoying voice. And there is no sign of chek ingine!?! Told me people as possible from the reel bobring!?! Beep!?!

@FrenchValleyAirport, Ya I put a bottle of STP injector cleaner in once a month to keep em clean, as far as the tick goes that is the sound of the solenoid opening and closing to let the fuel into each cylinder.

Cracked heads in a Mopar engine is nothing new. The older Magnum motors are infamous for that .. the 318 and 360's. But chrysler never did shit about it.
