A router with a spiral bit and a MilesCraft circle cutting jig (also known as a trammel) will be 10X faster, 100X safer and likely cost far less to buy.
Another option, is a table mounted router with a spiral flush-trim bit and a pattern for the bearing on the bit to follow.
And another solution, which likely is the fastest possible way, is a shaper with a guide bearing above a spiral cutter-head and again, using a pattern.
The router table would take under a minute per piece with an excellent finish IF you use a Porter Cable 7518 or similar router with the "Big Daddy" pattern bit (1-1/8" dia. 6-flute 2" cut length) or a similar bit
The shaper would even faster than the router and the finish will be just as good if you use one of the spiral cutter-heads sold by Grizzly or a similar cutter-head.
But any of these will be faster, give better results and be safer than that "Innovation" you're using.
