@8cuttlefish8 Aircraft engineering is crazy cool stuff. What made it cool (to me) during WW2 is that the internal combustion engine, piston I should say (for turbine engines are internally combusted as well) was pushed hard during that period. Horsepower figures shot through the roof, on both sides of the aisle, one being the radial companies, the other being the liquid cooled v crowd. By 1950 it was over, with all attention going to jet (turbine) engines.

@808yewtube. We got back to the museum just in time with an hour left before they closed. What a kick-ass place, next time we should have more time to take the "aviators tour" and see the other hangar with the helicopters and jets!! Glad you enjoyed the vid miss808!! Aloha my friend!!!
Great video! We are thrilled you enjoyed your experience. Be sure to get the Aviator's Tour which gives you your own tour guide and access to our second historic hangar, Hangar 79. On a side note- our MiG Alley exhibit opens June 25th to the public available only on the Aviator's Tour. Find us on Facebook for prizes and history. Aloha!
