Max The 2000 Year Old Mouse was a short cartoon that aired after children's programs such as Spider-Man and Rocket Robin Hood. It gave brief lessons about history, with comments added by Max, who claimed to be at all of these events because he was 2000 years old. This episode is about Lewis & Clark.
I didn't really like these when they were on when I was a kid, but of course now that I'm right near 40 I think this is great and it reminds me of early Saturday morning.

@gadzooks004 It was the same for us here in AB

This series was an obviously a take-off of The 2000 year old man skit Mel Brooks and Rob Reiner preformed in the 60s. Also considering the period they made the mouse completely chauvinistic in his view of women.

I learned World History better with these programs than with an oversized textbook! LOL

40 men and 1 woman, wow she must have finished the journey exhausted!

Wow! I remember this!
An episode always followed Bakshi episodes of Rocket Robin Hood on Ontario stations on Saturday mornings.
The American RRH episodes were shown without start and end theme songs, and without those silly character interludes, so there was always a 5-6 minute gap. A Max episode then always ended off a RRH 30-min. time slot.

Yeah the Professor Kitzel episodes were really fun and educational too.

I used to love these shows when I was a kid (40 years ago!). They are still pretty good!
