Chuck Davidson, 2009 Leading Citizen of Silicon Valley

Charles Davidson is one of the most successful real estate developers and builders in Silicon Valley. Mr. Davidson is a dedicated philanthropist. In 1992, he created the Davidson Family Foundation to support local arts institutions, higher education and human services organizations in Silicon Valley. As a San Jose State University Alumni, Mr. Davidson donated $15 million to the College of Engineering which was used to create endowments supporting initiatives and programs in the areas of students and faculty development, leading-edge engineering, and innovation globalization. In 2004, Mr. Davidson received the Universitys highest honor, the Tower Award. In 2007, the University named the College of Engineering the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering in honor of him.
