At this small izakaya in Utsunomia, Japan, a pair of monkeys perform some of the more routine tasks, such as handing out hot towels and serving beer. They're pretty friendly, and the smaller one will hop on your back and hang out if you're lucky.

  • This is how it all starts. The time will soon come when monkeys rule the world.

It's a good thing Charleton Heston didn't live to see this.

  • Their treated very well actualy. animal right laws and stuff only allows them to work like a hour or two a day and they just hand people towels and beer. The people uesally feed them food after, off of their plate to thank them and as you can see everyone enjoys them. i think they just like seeing the monky they dont really care if it brings them their towel or not lol

  • @PerplexPersonality Monkeys can learn simple commands like dogs can. In fact monkeys are multilingual in the wild and have a huge vocabulary. It is doubtful they wont understand some english or japanese.

  • I'm glad that my dad posted this video

  • wait a minute, i saw this in a movie once, planet of the apes anyone....? lol

  • one of these days, im definately going here

  • 見ていて実に気分が悪い 命令口調でこんな奴隷みたいに 暇なく使われたのでは 猿がかわいそう やさしく ほめながら 動物に接するんだよ 馬鹿オヤジがえらそ~に!

  • I've watched this on TV. The monkey is the pet of the store owner and it starts all this by itself. The owner doesn't force the monkey to do this.

  • I wonder if the monkey flings feces if you forget to tip :P

  • at the begining it was fuku-chan!

  • id be too distracted to eat if there was a monkey running around lol

  • I see that the Japanese people welcome foreign workers.
