May I say he was such the dapper gent in the 1920s. I prefer his singing to most male vocalists of any era.

This is one of my favorite of Jack Smith's records. Just a suggestion.. but I think these records would sound a lot better if you connected a modern phonograph to your computer ..it would reduce a lot of the noise interference from the "live" recording. If you need any help just ask.

I agree which is why i have not uploaded much lately.This is so much cheaper and easier way to upload!This is not too good as HMV 78s tend to be very crackly.I have been using a better gram lately.I fear modern 78 players are expensive.

If I can figure out how to get my camera to film for more than 3 min., I'll play this song performed by Sammy Fain. Fantastic record.

I certainly hope so as your "Borgia" must play the 78s so well!I love this performed by Alfredos band and will upload that version when i can fetch the 78 from my Mothers!The Sammy Fain version id love to hear!
