Just finished watching "The Sopranos." Is Tony dead?

The only theory that makes sense is that Carlo Gervasi did not flip to the FBI as Tony suspects, but instead is working with New York.

1.) Carlo always got treated poorly by Tony. Tony once told Carlo to give guys oral because Vito (the outed homosexual) earned three times as much as him when he held his job.

2.) Carlo Gervasi's cousin goes over to New York. Carlo's cousin, Burt, tried to get Silvio to work for New York and got killed by Silvio. wouldn't Carlo want revenge for his cousin? Also, Carlo could have revealed the location of Bobby and Silvio to the New York hitmen.

3.) Carlo's son is a tough guy that already earns as a bookie.

4.) Carlo respects New York. Even daring to express admiration of Phil Leotardo in front of Tony saying, "You got to admire the guy. It's not all talk with him."

5.) Carlo can't wait to get on the phone to "order pizza"/call New York.

  • He did go to the FBI. In the final scene Tony tells Carmela that Carlo is going to testify against him.

  • Carlo flipped because his son was involved in drug dealing(I think it was ecstasy). so to help his son out he turned on Tony

  • fuckin david chase. tell us nigga

  • @Taylorslade123 ....as for who was behind it? Well, I'm not going to say it outright, because I'm sure that there will be a shit load of people who will piss all over it, but for anyone who, like myself, watched the show from the very beginning and not just for the violent element but the extremely intelligent writing....there's been an underlying theme throughout the entire run of the show which never changed, boiling below the surface. It's very simple, but everyone wants to look elsewhere.

  • I've never known why some people have looked at this as some sort of big mystery. If you have been watching The Sopranos for a while then it's very, very clear what happened to Tony and why and who done it (or was actually behind it). There are so many clues and hints as to what happened in the end, even if you only saw the last 5 episodes and nothing else from any season, then you can still see why the end played out the way it did.........

  • If Carlo was working for Phil, why didn't he give up the safehouse? Carlo was never smart enough to play the field, he lacked the intelligence to negotiate the fine lines needed to pull off a 'double agent' trick.
