  • evryone ! let's go to circus! there they do more spinning...

  • @ilyaballet not a very smart comment - my comment. As a kid I was always amazed by his art.. Baryshnikov and Schaufuss - they are n.1 when I was a student!

  • I saw him many times in london about 79 at his best he was not less good than micha

  • ahhh, I'm dizzy, why can't the camera guy EVER keep the camera still? I want to see the dancing. Sometimes I think that someone who doesn't know much about the camera would make a better video than a professional who wants to put his "personal touch" into it...

  • Peter Schaufuss is my favorite dancer of all time!

  • He is good.but Misha is in a class of his own.

  • Awesome

  • @ilyaballet what do you mean? Don't you like his pirouettes? I think he got amazing pirouettes, and very good jumps :) He was my teacher for a while actually :)

  • @rosandtwo It's not quite as complicated as that. For all the jumps in the manege except the last, it begins as if you're going into a coupe jete, pushing off the left leg, right leg 4th front, then a opening to arabesque before landing on the right. The last jump is as if you were going for a saut de basque in a manege, which is essentially what it is. Push off on right leg, except he again opens into arabesque to land, landing on the left leg. The last jump you see a lot, the other, not so much

  • @JeremyNasmith I realise that this comment comes 10 months after your's, however are you sure that he is doing grand jete en tournant? If you stop/start the film, he appears to take off and land on his left leg - which would be a fouette battu. This is merely a technical question, for to perform either step with clarity is a rare achievement.

  • the video contrast doesn't help to see the movements very well.

  • @pediatrapaola as incredible as his dancing is in this video, it must be difficult to watch a live performance of him and remember to breath at the same time! The phrase "born to dance" comes to mind.
