Winnipeg - Northstar Inn commercial (1980)

Many name changes ago (the hotel is now called the Radisson Hotel Winnipeg Downtown), the Northstar Inn had a catchy jingle, and a good deal for out-of-towners who would visit the city to shop on Portage Avenue. I'll bet this is completely alien to many of you in the city... (CKND, 1980)

Nope...that closed down when the Famous Players SilverCity Polo Park opened. 14 new screens at the cost of 2.

If I recall correctly this building was the second tallest structure in Winnipeg before the Trizec and TD Center were built.

I had forgotten or didn't know that the Northstar Inn was originally owned by the CP Hotels chain.

It's the Radisson now, I remember seeing T2 at the Northstar movie theatre.
