Education managers and specialists from Lao Cai, Dak Nong and Tra Vinh provinces, and the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in Vietnam met up in a workshop to assess the effectiveness, impacts and discussed lesson learnt from Oxfam's education projects. These projects first started 10 years ago aiming to improve the quality of basic education for poor and disadvantaged children, in particular children from ethnic minorities and girls. Successes and lesson learnt from the projects is the basis for MOET to consider further replicating and scaling-up nationwide, helping the MDG's achievement that ensure all girls and boys in Vietnam complete primary education by 2015.
