Another Jonathan Coulton classic. I love the fact that the original juxtaposes its really sad subject with such a sweet, lilting melody, but here I mostly went for the darker side - after all, it is about death in a sense (even literally, if you've seen the Yozhik video). I guess that literalness puts my interpretation in the camp category ;-)
The arrangement grew from the idea that a single note would initially bloom into a cluster and eventually end with two voices moving away from each other. Bits of that remained, but I got too carried away to remain intellectual about it. It's not intended to contain specific classical quotes, although I have now started hearing things that I didn't consciously put in. Maybe that's a good thing.
