In the original video, the cat is vocalizing warning or distress calls because for whatever reason he feels he's in danger. When my two cats heard the cat video playing in the background here, they both came rushing up to my computer chair looking up towards the computer with very panicky looks trying to figure out what the danger was or what cat needed help. They obviously understood the cat.

Bonnie? Just a regular American shorthair, I would imagine. But in terms of her coat colouration, she's a tortoiseshell -- a "tortie". :)

Bonnie's what's called a tortoiseshell, or "tortie". They have the mixed-up colours kind like she is, and another kind where the black, brown, and white are separate and in patches... they're often called "calico" cats. They're nearly always female; males can only be torties if they have an extra X chromosome.
