Imants Gorbants, who used to be in charge of special machines at Moore Tool in Bridgeport teaches scraping at Penn State's Machine Dynamics Research Lab.
Having argued with people about the "imprecision of the human hand" this goes to show we made piston engines, gas turbines, firearms and everything else "like they used to make things" starting with a machine scraped to perfection by talented and experianced men at the factory.
Wow, thank you for posting this. An almost lost art. You guys were lucky to have been taught by him. Any more video? How do you check progress of the 'trueness' of the surface?
How many scrapes would a scraper scrape if a scraper could scrape scrap?

Very good. Would liked to have seen him recheck the surface with some sort of contrast medium. (Prussian Blue or Red Lead.)
