The Conway Scenic's new RDC car in North Conway. They are using it during the week during off-season to run the Bartlett and Conway trains.

  • Are you sure it's ex-MN? I don't know the exact history of this one, the others that are in the Lake Region (demotored) are all ex-MBTA. Would make sense that it's ex MNRR though, as CSRR bought it from the Susquehanna.

  • @woodalexander It was originally NH No. 23 then went on to Penn Central, then it went on to Metro-North, then it went to the NYS&W on the Syracuse operation, which is why it's painted in maroon; it's to hide the MN safety stripes. Sister 43 also went through this phase, I think that one is the one on the Southern RR of NJ.

  • Very VERY nice to see an RDC run as God and the Budd Company intended and not being used as a cab car. I probably photographed this car when it was working for MetroNorth on the Port Jervis line.
