Brooke-Wait. . .is this David? (Henrie. I don't feel like making up a name.)
David-Yes. . .
Brooke-David, I broke up with you. It doesn't count.
David-You never broke up with me!
Brooke-(sighs) David. . .I broke up with you. Goodbye! (hangs up and calls Josh)
Josh-Hello?
Brooke-Josh? My ex-boyfriend, David, just called. He thinks I'm cheating on him. But I broke up with him!
Josh-Want me to beat him up for you?
Brooke-(sighs) No. . .
Josh-Okay then.
(pause)
Josh-Want me to get Nate to beat him up?
Brooke-Haha. Where is Nate, anyway? I haven't seen him lately.
Josh-I dunno. Probably with his latest girlfriend.
Brooke-Oh. . .how often does he change girlfriends?
Josh-The longest he's kept one is two weeks. I don't know how he's going to finally decide to get married.
Brooke-Josh, we're in high school. We've got a long time to decide on that.
Josh-Muhmuh....muh?
Brooke-What?
Josh-You said we.
Brooke-(panics) What, no I didn't. I said he. Didn't I?
Josh-Noo, you said we.

(awkward silence)
Josh-What were you thinking?
Brooke-What?
Josh-Nevermind.

Josh-Why. . .do you want to get married. . .?
Brooke-(sighs) Josh. . .I'm only 19. So are you.
Josh-I know. . .I was just. . .
Brooke-And we just started dating an hour ago.
Josh-I know. . .
Brooke-I have to go. (hangs up) (calls Grace)
Grace-Hello?
Brooke-Grace. . .I think Josh just asked me to marry him.
