One of the BEST CONDUCTORS in the WORLD hands down today.

I've played for Robertson out in Ojai and have to say he's the first conductor that I ever wished could be cloned for all eternity. His concepts were solid, his ear is absolutely flawless. He is kind hearted yet a great leader. This Bruckner starts with a primordial crescendo and Robertson would know how to make it as organic as possible given any set of musicians. Reading back a few posts, I do think opinions are good, thank God for opinions. There is a lot more than tempo though.

Funny that a man who has earned international renown among top musicians and conducted multiple major orchestras around the world both as a primary and guest director is having his artistic decisions questioned by youtubers.

For what it's worth, it's NOT "too slow."
(IMHO)

It's my opinion...have you never heard of an opinion?? I'm entitled to it. Now shut the freak up!!

What's with you and automatic 180 degree disagreement with every post I make? I'm starting to feel like I'm in the Monty Python skit about arguments.

4th movement, finale
because you make foolish comments, "Too slow" by what standards is it too slow? yours maybe, certainly not too slow compared to some other recordings i have heard. And, what does "too slow" contribute to the conversation anyways? You think it's "too slow", so what? are you implying the "slowness" is bad? good? interesting? uninteresting? correct? Incorrect?
