Levine Museum of the New South invites you to take a look at the evolving blend of cultures and people that are changing the face of Charlotte, North Carolina and the South. Are you one of them?

The museum's most ambitious project to date, Changing Places explores how people in the region are responding to the growing cultural diversity created by the arrival of newcomers from across the country and around the globe. The heart of the project is an exhibit, titled Changing Places: From Black and White to Technicolor, featuring videos, artifacts, photography, environments and more. Visitors discover stories from new arrivals, find examples of things "done before," explore new and longtime traditions, are challenged to push past stereotypes, and participate in a number of other interactive experiences.
