  • ...like the crumbling infrastructure? Or the totally ghetto metropolitan area? Or the abismal night life? Or zero public transportion - even cabs? Or virtually no growth in any important sector? Cleveland sucks - most of the people who live in the city anymore are poor, welfare recipients, criminals, and let's be honest here, minorities that will only vote in like-minded Democrats that buy votes with handout promises as the city continues to die beneath them - pathetic.

  • ...despite Ohio's impressive college portfolio, since so many people DON'T "dig it", they HAVE gotten out - resulting in what's been termed the "Cleveland Brain Drain" where their best & brightest take their skills & talent elsewhere. Most decent people have to live in the burbs because the city is one big ghetto - and they can't get any good political leadership because most voters left in the city are societal leeches scrambling for handouts while their city crumbles beneath them.

  • I live in Dayton now but me & my mom thinking about moving? Im tryna 2 decide between columbus or cleveland? people from cleveland let me knw about the city thx

  • i luv cleveland i live here and i was born there but im only 14 so yeah

  • I will always love Cleveland, my old hometown. But it couldn't give me a job so I left for Texas (Dallas first, and now Houston). Dallas is nicer than Houston.

  • Somebody needs to put a huge fire hose through a top window of city hall and flush all the shit out-- one tremendous political enema. Instead of encouraging industries that have adapted to America's post industrial status, these god damn fools just flap their arms and gums about injustice as the steel plants and auto factories close around them, then tax the life out of those who stay. Thank god for guys like Bart Wolstein and his family who still try to develop and contribute to the city.

  • I guess it was just a quiet day or something. So whats the best city to visit in Ohio?

  • Looks like an empty city. Wheres the people at

  • i disagree. i lived in downtown cleveland. actually about .2 inches out of this camera's reach and it is certainly turning. especially with things like east 4th really taking off!! you venture off slightly into the outskirts of any city you will see the not so desirable. I'm from another major city originally (a well respected one at that) and I can tell you the same rule applies. I lived downtown, i worked downtown and i played downtown and met many keepers in the same situation.

  • You see, I WAS a Clevelander for about 25 years - most of my family lives there - and I too defended Cleveland... but I have to say it's gone the way of Detroit & Philadelphia - once great cities who are now crumbling piles of garbage... it saddens me because I see Cleveland's potential, but your civic leadership has screwed up so bad - the only decent people left who actually LIVE in the city are a vast minority - and the rest are.... well, you can go see for yourselves.

  • It started to in the early-mid 90s... that's what people remember when they think Cleveland's shed its bad image; but they let that opportunity go & have slid right back into being that crappy undeveloped ghetto city again, with a smidgen of decent spots scattered here and there & a lot of nice albeit boring suburbs surrounding the outskirts... it's basically a marginally better Detroit.

  • Ask a decent sample size of business owners who were actually part OF a ban, they'll tell you what twisted agenda based studies won't. State-wide bans may not allow indiv cities to be singled out, but remember - these kinds of businesses compete not only with eachother, but also & moreso with a person deciding to stay at their own or somebody else's house.
