I was present at this screening and am the one who fumbled a "question"concerning germs burns and their greater purpose. Lost in fan-worship, I regret not being more direct with my reaction to the film which was this: why make a downer movie? As a Germs fan I can appreciate the cast effort at re-creation but I don't see how anyone not familiar with the band could. "Neutron Bomb" and "Lexicon Devil" are laden with humor and sex appeal why was so little of that allowed onscreen?

saw the germs a few weeks after this. it was amazing, and shane west did a great job in my opinion, i mean its better than having no germs at all

I'm so curious about Bijou Phillips. She's a true NYC socialite (WAY before Paris was) and a child of music royalty. I just think she's fascinating.
Was she obnoxious or fabulous?

A little of both, more leaning on the fabulous side. She clearly had an "I don't give a fuck" attitude but I don't know, something about her made her seem like someone you'd want to go out on the town with. That and I find her completely endearing ever since I heard her do this jazz song once in a vid on myspace.
