Looking forwards to soundcards and other devices with the ability to emulate classic hardware via the converters or analog filters. An idea long overdue. Nice one Akai.

@AkaiProVideo When it comes to future hardware: Think 4 inn (balanced), a screen like roland Fg, and a GUI that belong in the year 2000 +. Me, I like the pads to be catered for dynamic feedback, instead of just contact points (my taste).
When it comes to MPC Ren: I want that machine. It looks good. But if I buy it, then I will not treat it like a plug in. I will use it as a standalone, and as an awesome MPC with the added poss a pc can bring.
On both of course, balanced out to my monitors.

@AkaiProVideo As a published producer in the industry, I love the MPC hardware. I have the MPC 60, MPC 3000 and an MPC 5000. I am a bit concerned, like others, about reality, VS specs. I need to test drive this to make sure it works as stated. The feature I am most interested to see if it works is that this unit will load songs, sequences and samples from my MPC 60 and MPC 3000 files as advertised. How will reading legacy files be accomplished?
Does this mean there will be a focus away from hardware mpc for Akai company? Or even a total shift in company products? Do there exist any plans with new hardware mpc, to atract new and existing customers?

@BigBalledMicrobe As stated previously, the MPC5000 is still in production and is the current standalone MPC.

@BigBalledMicrobe If we were to make what you suggest, what would you like in a new standalone MPC that you can't get with the MPC5000?

the best way to promote a product is to demonstrate it performing the functions its supposed to be able to do. this kind of advertising is next to MEANINGLESS. you have people praising a thing they haven't even used yet.... please

@encdee This video shows the reaction that real, working producers had to seeing the hardware for the first time. That's an important piece to understand. None of these guys were paid to react the way they did. Their reaction was similar to our own once we got the first prototype and we like to share experiences like that. Once a mass production model is ready, we will be posting new videos that show its various functions in action.
