Now that the notice saying that he is leaving the band just shocked me, it's time to make a tribute to one of the masters of modern music....Mr. Bill Champlin. Bill: I wish you the best !...Master. Best Regards!
Oh yeah, I saw them do this tune live at least a couple of times starting in '82. That was how I discovered this tune. Went out, bought the album, fell in love with the record! "Satisfaction" is the quintessential non-Chicago Chicago tune! The recording has a killer arrangement with a big horn section and David Foster on Moog bass. One of my favorite records EVER.
Thanks for putting this one up. To what I've heard the record company behind Chicago forbade Bill to ever perform his solo songs with Chicago but this on shows proof of the opposite! Great!
they just want sopmebody to play the jukebox....find anybody who can fit that mold...BC's out on a totally different level now...I bet he's gonna do some more solo work soon. The guy's a machine
WOW - I didn't realize that Bill had done ANYTHING from his solo work with Chicago! Thanks for posting this ... too bad Chicago didn't see the wisdom in continuing to openly embracing Bill's solo work. It is apparent to me that they were threatened by it.
Does Peter play bass on this? Or is it all keyboard bass?
