The first WRC asphalt event of 2011, Rally Deutschland, gets under way this week in South-West Germany. It features tight, twisty stages amongst the Moselle vineyards, but also the harsh roads of the Panzerplatte, the tank testing grounds at Baumholder. Colin Clark has been taking a look for iRally...

  • hey colin, now i seriously think that you should get a wireless mic rather than those loooonnnng cables to bother about....

  • Thanks for the info ! ! I've just installed iRally app on my android. Great app!

  • deutschland!!!!!!!!!! ogier is getting good. he will make loeb sweat.

  • @oregonwings Its Loebs to lose as always....But I think Jari Matti will be close if he makes no mistakes. Ogier will definitely be on the podium as well. Really pulling for JML though...I always like the Ford boys to do well, the sport has been dominated by Citroen for so long now its strange to see them win.

  • @541oregon It's hard not to just hand the win to Loeb. The man is a tarmac master, and helped develop the DS3 from the get go. I'm very intrigued with how confident Hirvonen was with the Fiesta's performance on tarmac though. I think Loeb wins if he doesn't get any punctures or if it is wet. Hirvonen wins if anything happens to Loeb. 3rd will go to either Latvala or Ogier. I'm going to say Latvala though, due to how fast he was with a gravel setup on tarmac in Argentina. What about you?

  • @oregonwings Nice yeah we have been into it for quite a while now....Its a crazy obsession that never seems to fade but only get stronger haha! Who do you like this weekend for Germany?

  • @541oregon Yep! I'm a huge fan of the WRC and live in the Portland area, although I grew up near Albany. I've only been following WRC the last couple of years thanks to the internet and it being televised on HD Theater (albeit a month later). I had heard about it in the past, but news and coverage in the states was zero. It looks like you have been to Oregon Trail Rally...as you know the Willamette Valley and Cascade Mountains are prime rallying territory!

  • @oregonwings Live in the Valley? Gotta love fellow Oregon WRC fans!

  • @oregonwings I have a problem on my Motorola Defy, the option buttons on the bottom of the screen are completely white and I can't read the labels.

  • lol kris meeke
