Its Wednesday afternoon Feb 16 here in Australia and we have just had the sad news of the passing of Peter Laffy in Honolulu finally succumbing to his battle with cancer. A guitar hero to many in the Oz music industry and a buddy of mine back in school days.
All posters please enjoy Pete's playing on Primal Park at the 0.52 sec mark...and then featured right throughout the track...right to his wonderful guitar riff finale,
Feel free to leave a tribute!

@RettroDood The live tracks were recorded at Bombay Rock as you will see when you get the reissue which has a lot more of the those recordings on it. This and Mighty Kong are my favourite Ross W records. I would love to have a copy of the live Arkaba tracks Rettro - could you send them to me? My email is
dnpepperell@bigpond.com.

I have this album on cassette, great to see it on a vid. This is a monster album. I wonder if someone can tell me if there was a guitarist called "chook" associated with these songs ? My thanks.

It might not be the best quality but it's better than not seeing it at all .
A lot of clips of old bands are to get a lot of fans have not seen them before .
Chook to my memory was Greg Cook of Campact, The Mixtures and Phil Manning Band. To my knowledge he did not play on this album. Bass player behind Laffo is the late Simon Gyllies. I wrote this song with Ross Wilson about my life in the mid 70's. Primal Park is Melbourne at night - the midnight savage is me. Primal Park album now reisssued by Aztec Records with extra tracks

Thanks David, for adding a little insight to one of my favourite LP's of all time. If there are extra tracks on the re-issue, I'll have to get it. You don't happen to know where the live content on the album was recorded, do you? I have an entire desk tape of a gig Mondo did at the Arkaba (Adelaide) at around that time. It's a little rough, but gold, nonetheless.
Cheers.
