http://facebook.com/ThoriumRemix - Thorium policy in all western nations undermines the successful development of a domestic rare earth market. All of the rare earths that most western mining companies are willing to process are what they call bastnasites or carbonatites. They select these rare earths not because of the high ratios of rare earths but simply the absence of thorium.

Manufacturers using rare earth elements in their products are relocating their manufacturing base inside China. The jobs in manufacturing transfer from the United States and western Europe into the Chinese mainland.

This impacts consumer electronics, green technologies & military technology.

  • What are some of these companies in china that are intersted in producing these reactors/thorium materials?

  • Gasoline also used to be a waste product before automobiles came around..

  • @PGHolmes

US Congress has no real interest in the progress of making perishable goods less perishable. It would be more intelligent to work with the Chinese "dude" whist merging assets into a Government that is interested in them. It's 2011, and business is rapidly becoming more and more consolidated and globalized. Dividing borders is antiquated in business, find those whom have the same interest with you and move forward with them.

But, what do i know I am just a dumb unemployed nobody.

  • I don't understand, this video is pure propaganda for people whom have interests in thorium.

Now, nothing wrong with that, as what they promise seems like something that would benefit the demographic the video is directed to. However, it has me in a pickle trying to figure out, why the target demographic that are interested in this video about "thorium energy" would have any influence over US Government. It almost seems like a last resort, to a previous failure.

  • Hilarious!

  • @bobthechipmonk. No, i don't disapprove entirely what their doing, but I think there should be more focus on fusion technologies. Fusion reactors will be awesome.

  • Thorium Energy is the way of the future, I have no doubt. The US and India have huge amounts of Thorium.

  • @thepermman Instead you want fossil fuel? Your so cool?

  • don't need thorium in u.s water, we don't need more lung, pancreas, and blood cancers

  • Not gonna happen. well not in america its not.
