Trish King, Director of Behavior and Training at the Marin Humane Society, discusses how to safely go about introducing unfamiliar dogs to each other, both on-leash and off-leash. She will describe the good and bad things to look for, when it might work out, and when it definitely won't.

  • Very interesting with the Rottweiler at the end of this video. My Rotties have learned this behavior from my neighbors Lab. Prior to the Lab behaving like that they didn't do that. They are still extremely social dogs. TDI's and CGC'c I don't care for the behavior at the fence but they are not really being aggressive. They tend to run back and forth with the neighbors other dog and then the Lab will randomly try to attack them through the fence. They definitely do the stare, butt up move.
